Darryl A. Cobb, AIA, NCARB

Welcome to the Cobb Architects website. I have been in the architectural profession for over 22 years, and I established Cobb Architects in 2000. To me, architecture that is designed and constructed well can be a beautiful piece of art – sculpture that you occupy. I am very fortunate do what I love on a daily basis.

I have a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and I am a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and the Custom Residential Architects Network.

At Cobb Architects, we are passionate about every aspect of what we design. We like to be involved in projects from the first conceptual sketch through the construction process. Every detail matters, and my firm is committed to designing to the highest possible quality. We would truly love the opportunity to talk to you about your new project.

Scurry joined Cobb Architects in 2017 after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Clemson University. While at Clemson, Scurry spent a semester at the Charleston Architecture Center where he experienced an environment of new and emerging architecture within the context of a historical city. During this time, he also gained a love and appreciation for Charleston and its architecture.

At Cobb Architects, Scurry is our resident 3d modeling and rendering expert, and he is also heavily involved in all aspects of social media for the firm.

Ashley Strople

Ashley Strople

Ashley earned her Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University following a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Georgia.

Ashley brings a diverse experience ranging from both large and small-scale commercial design, retail, mixed-use development, and master planning. She believes working in the residential and small-scale setting offers a more intimate and meaningful experience while helping clients achieve their vision. As design becomes ever more integrated, Ashley enjoys the incredible opportunity to explore the migration of both architecture and interior design within the Lowcountry vernacular that is loved by so many.

Mary Cobb

Mary Cobb

Mary Cobb is my sweet mom. She has been an integral part of Cobb Architects since 2003. She brings much needed office management skills to the firm and handles EVERYTHING not design related. We are truly blessed to have her in charge of the things that architects are not good at doing.
